yellow chain and leaves

A yellow chain, a little worse for wear, but gleaming in a shaft of sun hitting a corner that caught some fallen leaves.

Captures George's point about the difference between luminence and luminosity. That kind of chain rings a bell with me. Is it what we used to use for kids' swings?

Yes it does -- I hadn't thought of that! And somehow the distinction is more clear when it's your own image!

The chain was hanging down from a door at the Zoo. Maybe they used it to open the door?

What caught my eye of course was the luminance -- it was late afternoon.

Also I like the yellow stripe painting itself into the corner.
