This is a digital painting from a macro shot using a 180mm Canon macro lens and a Canon 5D. The flowers are true to size. I think it is a more attractive image painted then as a straight photo. Cropped and increased saturation in Photoshop CS3 -- painting done in chalk using Painter X.

I'm wondering. Did you do Painter stuff on the metal parts? What kind?
I used chalk strokes across the entire image and then cloned (at pretty low opacity maybe 20%) the flowers in the center and the rust and flaking paint along the middle piece of metal. That's why they look slightly more in focus than the rest of the image.
Do you like this image painted? I think it is more interesting than the straight macro shot.
